the month of july flew by.
in fact, the last three months flew by.
senior projects, graduating, traveling, summer + moving.
we moved mid-semester into a town home.
we welcomed the move + found an amazing deal on our new home.
but a quiet sunday, before we moved, i reflected on apt 1102 + the special memories + moments made inside our first home.
jay carried me across its doorway that september in 2012,
this is where we moved 8 different time into + out of,
this is where we made friends,
this is where we figured out the first year of our marriage, into our second year,
this was where i became a wife + jay became a husband, a student + even better best friend.
we were over the awful managers + upstairs neighbors,
but the natural light + quiet swing of things was something i hope to not forget.
i know that i can be entirely too emotion + sentimental.
in fact, if anyone but i reads this post, i'll be totally okay with that.
but a little bit of sadness comes from this move because we left our first home into a new home that feels w a y too nice for jay + i.
these walls heard our laughter + good times for 2 years + i just really wanted to always remember that.
good bye apartment 1102. thanks for our first of many new home memories.
what an incredible space--and i am dying over the light. so jealous. (our apartment light is gross and dingy and yellow, ha!) what a great place to experience newly-wed life!
ReplyDeletealso, where's your fabulous shower curtain from?
xoxo
you are really the sweetest. we sure loved it! + I believe I got that at target when we first got married! It's still been my favorite shower curtain I've seen ;)
Deleteok. that tv stand is seriously sooo amazing. where did you find such a beautiful piece?! also i know how you feel. i loved our first apartment sooo much, but alas. rent costs money, haha. but yay for moving forward right? plus a townhome sounds so fun!

the little diary
i found it on Rexburg's garage sale FB page! Some lady posted it + I jumped. I usually wasn't an orange person, but it's hard not to fall in love with that!
