my alarm went off a few times before my eye's popped open.
AH! time to get up!
i quietly got completely ready before even attempting to wake jay.
he is 100% not a morning person.
or a wake them up before they are ready to wake up, person.
I grabbed my camera bag, pushed jay into the car + we were off to driggs!
i can't tell you how long i've wanted to go to a hot air ballon lift off.
+ even though it was 5:10 in the morning, i was wiiiiide awake.
i think what made this morning even better was the drive.
sure, it took an hour to get there.
it was early, but it was so so beautiful.
there was no one on the road.
jay was quietly sleeping, music was playing + i had wide eyes.
i grew up in the suburbs.
sure i've seen fields, i've lived in rexburg for 5 years now,
but i don't think i've seen fields at 5 in the morning.
the sun bounced off the sprinklers, leaving rainbow all over for miles + miles
+ i kept thinking of america the beautiful,
+ i totally got why the song says,
through amber waves of grain.
it felt pretty fitting considering that the fourth of july was just in a few days.
then we got there.
i squealed jay awake + i'll let the pictures speak for themselves.
it was bomb.
ps. this was definitely the coolest thing i've done at 6am
Yay! My husband is from Driggs :) isn't that drive from Rexburg to there just breathtaking?
