july was this crazy busy month with lots of projects, stress, fun, laughter + new memories.
the weekend before the 4th, i had a job in utah, so jay + i took a much needed, much loved
trip to utah + stayed with the utah jensens.
man i love spending time with them.
jennie is an amazing cook + also intruded me to ritas...
custard guys, custard...how have i not jumped on this creamy goodness yet?!
oh well, i'm here and craving this every.single.day.
thanks jennie.
we played with fireworks + played with the kids, stayed up late watching the dumbest movie,
it was a perfect weekend getaway.
we love you guys.
then the 4th of july. it was hot, SO hot.
especially since rexburg has been so chilly this year.
we spent it with the cookes.
chany was fully preggo, like baby could've happened at anytime.
we went to the rexburg parade.
i've said it before + i'll say it again,
i love that the entire town comes to this,
+ can fit onto our main street.
we bbq, play cards against humanity,
which is SO FUNNY,
relaxed + then realized at 10pm,
fireworks, oh yeah.
we jumped into the car + drove around trying to find fireworks.
which, we pulled into the parking lot, to see the last 2 minutes of the stadium fireworks.
i think my favorite thing about that night was the last 2 minutes of those fireworks, the conversations that followed + the feeling of content that comes from a full day on a cool night.
as we drove home, we passed the rodeo, which, even though it was 'over,'
there were still people there...
so of course, i needed to sneak in.
+ just like that, the fourth ended perfectly right after sneaking into the end of a rodeo.
oh i love america.
ps.
yep.
