in our home

 my home has always been my safe haven,

 but it's become even more special to me these last few weeks.

i've never paced our hallways this much before,

or appreciated our walls that keep noises in ;)

it's become eli's first home, the place where we brought him + grew with him 

+ because of that reason alone, this home has become even more special to me.

we took some "newborn" pictures a few weeks ago.

i just wanted something simple, 

capturing our family in our home.

eli, of course, cried the entire time (this kid better learn fast that pictures are a big deal around here),

but we got some really special captures,

 thanks to Anna.

this is our home,

our life now.

it's complicated + new,

challenging + emotional,

but i wouldn't have it any other way.

our lives are eli's,

even now as i type,

 he lays asleep on my chest.

i swear i hear baby cries when there isn't 

+ i'm constantly amazed at how exhausted i am with how simple our days are,

but i wouldn't have it any other way.
