well it's almost a new year,
christmas is pasts
+ we are in california.
whew!
christmas is always a little stressful for jay + i.
finals at byui always end like 5 days before christmas.
then our quarterly pack up our entire life + move happens,
so christmas is kind of put on the back burner until the 21/22nd.
well this year, christmas shopping really didn't start until the 23.
we pulled a fast one, or should i say, i pulled a fast one.
poor jay hahaha
all the gifts he ordered me aren't coming until january,
+ the one gift he should've got in time, was in the completely wrong sizee.
YOU GUYS.
you should've seen how upset he was that night and the morning before he told me.
finally, i asked him, did i do something wrong?! why are you so upset?!
surrounded by boxes + packing,
he put his head in his hand + goes:
i ordered the wrong sizeeeeeee!
in the saddest voice you ever did hear.
oh we laughed. how ironic, the poor guy!
but i'm totally okay with my late gifts.
christmas is going on through january + i'm actually loving it!
but really all i can do is laugh at how silly our situation is.
if any of you can relate to that,
i send you virtual christmas you-can-do-it hugs.
jay + i's families live 30-40 minutes away from each other.
so christmas eve was spent at the hancock house.
we had a yummy feast + the kids + men had a blast with the annual car race.
we then headed over to my family's house to spend the night
for christmas morning.
this is my first christmas morning since before we got married
+ the wonderful memories were sweet.
it was very rushed though because my brother nathan is on his mission in denver.
SO we skyped nathan, said goodbye to my family + rushed BACK to the hancocks
to catch jay's brother codey in ghana for facetime!
but it was worth it!
being with family on christmas day after the stress of december has been very nice!
