can you see those cows checking out that sweet pony?!
i mean...shoot...
i seem to find + make new friends who own horses.
this last sunday, i was picked up + brought to another hidden gem.
that slow but soothing coo of birds, with a gentle wind and the familiar smell of idaho,
refreshed me on sunday.
it brought me back from the stress of moving + homework + projects.
i find so much beauty in idaho on the daily.
it's in the littlest things too.
a simple sunset happens at the end of everyday,
but some how idaho seems to have the most amazing sunsets.
there is a feeling of peace that really is amazing here in this small town.
as i come to a close of my college education, i remember.
i remember the quiet awe in the difference from my suburbia home town,
to the flat, quiet, small town.
i found some of my best times in this town.
as i walked around sunday night, i was again reminded of the quiet beauty that comes from idaho.
it's become a part of me now,
the //inner// country girl who pretended her bicycle was
a speedy horse
+ her backyard was a jungle or the plains or mountains,
idaho has become her playing grounds.
i won't forget the pride i had seeing all of rexburg come out on main street for the 4th of july parade
or being able to get anywhere in the town in less than ten minutes,
or singing hymns under the stadium bleachers.
so so many good memories in this small farm town.
so i remembered as i spoke to the best listeners,
letting them investigate
my camera,
my backpack,
my hair.
because
no matter where life takes me, part of me will always be the little girl who fell in love with horses.
Beauty: you, the pictures, your writing….nailed it!
