this is one of those blog posts that are just for me.

just for me to remember those times with our pup who isn't our pup.

i'm sorry that i take too many snapchats of her + insta the heck out of her puppy face.

i'm sorry if you've ever thought how annoying i've been with loving on this dog.

but in all reality,

i mean, i'm camilla.

i love animals,

especially my animals. 

 i know she isn't a child + i'm actually really sorry

when some of my friends with kids talk to me about something their child did

+ i follow up with a story about sheila,

that my way of connecting to that world i suppose,

until my chance, my stories,

i just...

i feel a lot of love for this animal

+ i always miss her when we leave california.

look at her cuddling with jay,

no laying down with him!

+ look at him, laying down on the ground to cuddle with her!

mmmh my happy heart.

jay + i actually picked out sheila. 

this fat, snuggly, happy puppy.

she was a surprise christmas gift for jay's brothers + we adopted her + her sister

+ snuck them in our apartment for two weeks 

before heading back out to california for the 

christmas surprise.

for those two weeks i watched my sweet husband 

get pushed off the bed when we let them sleep with us...

(oops ;)

+ wake up at 4 in the morning to take them out. 

i know i know i'm talking about puppies here + i know if you're reading this, 

you're probably rolling those eyes,

but these puppies, especially shelia,

softened my heart in more ways that i should write in a dog post.

i guess that i just wanted to write it down, 

a thank you to a dog.

 she'll obviously never read this + if she did, then shoot, you would think she is just as cool as i do,

but i'm thankful for the little things in life that give/bring happiness.

that's what counts right? i mean, if my dog softens my heart, then who can complain about that?

she's made me laugh + made my jay laugh 

+ i love that.

i mean, even when we want to hate her,

we can't.

yesterday on the walk we took her on,

she repaid us by eating or rolling in all the geese poo she could find.

she was quickly put back into the backyard, 

disgusted by her state.

but this morning, with all the rain + her pathetic puppy cries,

we took pity on her.

she got so excited.

running around, jumping in circles, but man, you should've seen her 

when she realized what was going to happen.

i was laughing so hard + even jay told me to grab the camera.

i know we are probably that annoying married couple 

who loves their pets too much,

but to be honest with you,

i would still be this photo annoying, even if we had a lizard.

i like blogging because i'm showing you my happy moments.

this bath, in the rain,

with sheila slowly trying to break away

or shaking mid-bath, covering jay with soap,

is a happy moment i won't soon forget.

she is in her snuggly mood right now,

as i type,

she is pretending i don't notice her trying to

squeeze into the 6 inch gap i've got on my seat.

happy moments are happy moments

+ i'm always going to capture them if i can.

ps. yeah we love it when you roll in geese poo too.
